I'm often asked why I became a men's hair replacement specialist, and the honest answer is simple... because I've been exactly where so many of my clients are today.
I know what it feels like to watch your hair disappear, to lose confidence a little at a time, and to spend every day trying to hide something that nobody else seems to understand.
My journey began in Scotland, where I was born and raised. Around 15 years ago, I made the decision to move to London to start a new chapter in my life. It was exciting, a fresh start, new opportunities and a career doing something I loved — hairdressing.
But not long after moving to London, everything changed.
As a hairdresser, your appearance matters. You're surrounded by hair every day, creating styles and helping other people feel confident.
The hardest part was knowing I didn't feel confident myself.
I began noticing my hair thinning, especially around the front and crown. Every haircut became stressful because I could see more scalp than before. I started styling my hair differently, constantly trying to cover the thinning areas.
Eventually I dyed my hair blonde because I realised lighter hair made my scalp less noticeable. I relied on hair fibres every morning, carefully sprinkling them over the thinning areas before work and spending ages styling my hair to hide my hair loss.
Some days it worked.
Some days it didn't.
I became obsessed with checking mirrors, bright lights and photos. My confidence slowly disappeared, and I genuinely felt I couldn't be the best hairdresser I wanted to be because all I could think about was my own hair.
My Confidence Started to Disappear
When I applied for a job at MH2GO, I honestly thought I was applying for another hairdressing role.
Within days of joining the team, I discovered something I'd never experienced before — modern non-surgical hair replacement.

Because I've worn one myself, I can give honest advice from personal experience as well as professional experience.
Becoming Part of the MH2GO Journey
Over the years, I developed my skills in men's hair replacement and worked with hundreds of clients at MH2GO London.
I became one of MH2GO's senior stylists before being promoted to Clinic Manager, where I spent the next two years leading the London clinic and training stylists to deliver the MH2GO standard of care and quality.
Every client taught me something new, and every transformation reminded me why I love this industry.
Hair replacement isn't just about hair.
It's about confidence.
Bringing MH2GO to Yorkshire
Life eventually brought me to Yorkshire with my partner, and it quickly became home.
I realised there was a huge gap in the market across Halifax, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield and the surrounding areas. Many men were travelling long distances or paying thousands of pounds for hair replacement with very little personal care or support.
I wanted to change that.
That's why I opened MH2GO Halifax — to bring the trusted MH2GO experience to Yorkshire while creating something even more personal.
